LM2500+G4 SAC 50Hz CC 1x1 Gas Turbine

The LM2500+G4 SAC 50Hz Combined Cycle 1x1 is a gas turbine system that combines a gas turbine with a steam turbine to improve overall power generation efficiency. This configuration captures waste heat from the gas turbine exhaust and uses it to produce steam, which then drives the steam turbine, generating additional electricity. This approach helps maximize power output while making better use of fuel energy.

Building on the LM2500+ design, the LM2500+G4 increases power capability by about 10% without reducing the lifespan of critical hot section components. This is achieved by increasing airflow, enhancing materials, and improving internal cooling. Despite these upgrades, the core compressor and turbine stages, as well as most airfoil and combustor designs, remain consistent with the LM2500 model.

The LM2500+G4 features a 17-stage high-pressure compressor that raises the engine’s pressure ratio and airflow, boosting the total power output of the gas turbine to over 31 MW. It uses a Single Annular Combustor (SAC) equipped with water injection to help control emissions while maintaining stable combustion. The SAC’s simple, proven design provides uniform flame temperature and reliable operation.

This balanced system is common in industrial and energy applications where efficiency and power output must be optimized, especially under varying ambient conditions. The combined cycle setup offers a reliable and efficient solution for electricity generation in demanding environments.

Surface Controlled Subsurface Safety Valve FRN 6-5/8 inch

The FRN wireline-retrievable flapper valve, which is normally closed, is held open by hydraulic control pressure from the surface. The valve operates on a hydraulic-piston principle. To open, tubing pressure slightly higher than the well pressure below the closed flapper is applied. Once well pressure is equalized across the closed flapper, hydraulic pressure is applied to the piston, which pushes the flapper open. The flapper hinge assembly is designed so the force on the piston is not applied directly on the hinge pin. Upon loss of hydraulic pressure in the control line, the valve's large spring serves to lift the hydrostatic head of the control fluid. The flapper spring is designed to close the valve when the piston moves up past the flapper. Opening Prong Nose Seal The FRN valve uses the valve housing as the downstop for the opening prong. This metal-to-metal (MTM) interface is designed to prevent flow from passing between the valve housing and opening prong. The MTM interface isolates the flapper and seat from fluid flow while the valve is open. This design creates an MTM interface with the full force exerted by the hydraulic piston, minus the spring compression force, holding the two metal faces in contact. Radius of Curvature at Flow Entrance Halliburton conducted a study with various curvatures on the entrance to the valve. The study tested abrasive fluids flowing through different test subs and examined the resulting wear patterns. As a result, an optimum radius of curvature was determined and implemented on the valve housings of all wireline retrievable safety valves. Applications » New completions » Deep set » High pressure Features » High-strength rod-piston actuation » Non-equalizing flapper closure » Solid construction flapper made from bar stock » Spherical radius seat on flapper improves seal reliability » Sealing and seating surfaces are out of flow path of well production when valve is in open position » Designed for easy field servicing *information referenced from supplier catalog. WR-SCSSSV FXE 3-1/2 inch

The FXE wireline-retrievable flapper valve, which is normally closed, is held open by hydraulic control pressure from the surface. The valve operates on a hydraulic piston principle. To open, hydraulic pressure slightly higher than the well pressure is applied to move the piston downward. This pressure unseats the secondary seat, allowing pressure to enter through equalizing ports. Then, as additional hydraulic pressure is applied to the piston, it continues downward movement, pushing the flapper open. The flapper hinge assembly is designed such that the force on the piston is not applied directly on the hinge pin. Upon loss of hydraulic pressure in the control line, the valve’s large spring serves to lift the hydrostatic head of the control fluid. The flapper spring is designed to close the valve when the piston moves up past the flapper. Opening Prong Nose Seal The FXE valve uses the valve housing as the downstop for the opening prong. This metal-to-metal (MTM) interface is designed to prevent flow from passing between the valve housing and the opening prong. The MTM interface isolates the flapper and seat from fluid flow while the valve is open. This design creates an MTM interface with the full force exerted by the hydraulic piston, minus the spring compression force, holding the two metal faces in contact. HP-3 Hydraulic Set High Angle 7" 20-26 PPF Packer

Ballycatter HP-3 High Angle Packer

Available sizes: 5 1/2”, 6 5/8”, 7”, and 9 5/8”

The Ballycatter HP-3 is a hydraulic-set packer engineered for high-angle and deviated well applications, where conventional mechanical or wireline-set tools are not feasible. This packer is particularly suited for single or multi-zone completions, offering flexible deployment in complex well trajectories.

Unlike mechanical systems, the HP-3 requires no tubing movement to set. This enables full well control throughout the operation, as the tubing can be landed and the wellhead installed prior to circulating or displacing fluids.

Key Features:

• Reliable Setting Mechanism: Utilizes dual balanced pistons—one actuates downward to anchor the bi-directional slips, while the other moves upward to compress a three-element packing system. This simultaneous action ensures a secure set and pack-off.

• Three-Element Seal: The packing system uses dual-durometer rubber elements to ensure long-term sealing integrity across a range of downhole conditions.

• Slips & Housing: One-piece, bi-directional slips are housed in a shear-pinned chamber, protected by a full-diameter guide to prevent damage during deployment.

• Release Options: Features a dual-method release system:

• Straight pull via shearing of pre-set screws.

• Right-hand rotation (approx. 8 turns), followed by straight pull.

• Equalization & Retrieval: Built-in equalizing valve opens automatically during release to balance pressures and enable safe retrieval. A large-diameter bypass within the mandrel allows fluid to flow during retrieval, reducing swab effects on the packing elements.

The HP-3 is engineered for reliability, operational flexibility, and full well control—making it a practical choice for complex wellbore geometries.

Ambient Pressure SSSV 5-1/2

Storm Choke® K safety valves are ambient-type, wireline retrievable valves with the largest flow area of all direct controlled safety valves on the market. They are ideally suited for high-volume, low-pressure wells. These valves are normally closed and pre-charged with a set dome pressure. When the well flowing pressure drops below the predetermined dome-pressure charge because of a rupture in flowline or surface equipment, the dome pressure and main valve spring close the valve, shutting in the well below the earth’s surface. This valve contains a detent mechanism to provide a positive snap-action closure at the predetermined disaster rate of the valve. Its bore is not restricted by a flow bean. The valve is designed to resist pressure surges. A metal-to-metal poppet valve and seat comprise the valve’s primary closure mechanism. The K valve is ideal for protecting wells with declining bottomhole pressure. This valve closes in situations where a pressure decline would not activate a valve with a flow bean. To reopen the valve, the operator must fully equalize pressure either by applying pressure in the tubing from the surface or by an equalizing prong. The valve will reopen when the tubing pressure acting on the internal piston area overcomes the dome charge. Applications » Wells with declining bottomhole pressure » High-volume, low-pressure wells » Wells with no provisions for surface-controlled valves Features » Poppet closure » Large ports with capacity for high-volume wells » Designed to resist pressure surges *description excerpted from manufacturers catalogue. FXE 2-7/8 inch Wireline Retrievable Surface Controlled Subsurface Safety Valve

Radius of Curvature at Flow Entrance Halliburton conducted a study with various curvatures on the entrance to the valve. The study tested abrasive fluids flowing through different test subs and examined the resulting wear patterns. As a result, an optimum radius of curvature was determined and implemented on the valve housings of all wireline-retrievable safety valves. Applications » General production completions Features » Equalizing-type flapper closure » Solid construction flapper made from bar stock » Spherical radius seat on flapper improves seal reliability » Sealing and seating surfaces are out of the well production flow path when valve is in the open position *information referenced from supplier catalog. SCSSSV – 2 3/8” Surface-Controlled Safety Valve

Available sizes: 2 3/8”, 2 7/8”, 3 1/2”, 4”, 4 1/2”, 5”, 5 1/2'” and 7”.

The 2 3/8" Surface-Controlled Subsurface Safety Valve (SCSSSV) is designed to shut in a well in the event of uncontrolled flow caused by equipment failure or damage. Installed in the upper wellbore, it provides emergency closure of the producing conduits to isolate the wellbore if there is a failure or damage to surface production control systems.

This valve uses a self-equalizing, surface-controlled, flapper-type mechanism that closes reliably when hydraulic control pressure is lost. The flapper is made from solid bar stock and has sealing surfaces located outside the flow path when open, which helps reduce erosion and extends the valve’s service life. It is rated for working pressures up to 10,000 psi.

The valve fits 2 3/8" (60.33 mm) tubing and is installed in landing nipples with seal bore options of 1.710" or 1.875". Valve internal diameter options are 0.62" or 0.75", allowing selection based on flow requirements. The wireline retrievable design permits servicing or replacement of major valve components without pulling the entire tubing string, reducing intervention time and operational disruption.

This valve is typically used in wells with smaller tubing sizes that require dependable emergency shut-in capability. Its design balances reliability, durability, and ease of maintenance to provide effective well control in a variety of well conditions.
